
ERBIL, May 31 (AKnews)- On Monday, June 4, the first match of the 2012 VIVA World Cup, will be held in Franco Hariri Stadium in Erbil, capital of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
N.F. Board governing body decided that the first match of the cup between Kurdistan and Western Sahara be held at 8.00 p.m., said Jalal Pareshan, press secretary for the 2012 VIVA World Cup in Kurdistan.
Pareshan added Kurdistan's President Massoud Barzani will attend the inauguration ceremony of the cup which begins an hour before the launch match.
Kurdistan hosts the fifth round of the VIVA cup, organized by N.F. Board (Nouvelle Fédération-Board, NFB, unofficially Non-FIFA-Board, founded in 2003).
The nine participants in the cup are divided into three groups.
The first group includes Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Western Sahara and Occitania; the second Zanzibar, Tamil Eelam , Raetia; and the third Darfur, Provence and North Cyprus.
The matches will be played at 07.00 and 09.00 p.m. evening with the group stages being held in Duhok and Suli.
