Kurdistan TV Shut down...

Does anybody know WHAT Kurdistan TV did wrong since it has been fined in the form of 24 hours of shut down?


I read about it violating an article of the constitution TAL... Anyubody know what this article says and what "rule" Kurdistan TV violated?

it says because of abusing KURDISTAN REGION Law..not TAL.

by the way the TV has mentioned the NUMBER of the Law...you can look it up if you have the law's book.

It is VERY a VERY bad sentence - the sentence where the reason is written - but basically=

SOMEBODY has talked about Mohammed and his sexual relations to his wives... And NEFEL has asked - WHY did they shut down Kurdistan TV because of this, when they didn't shut it down after they broadcast a seminar where man had said that Mohammed had very "perverted" mind (thinking sexual things)...

THIS IS STUPID! COME ON! YOU DON'T SHUT DOWN A CHANNEL BECAUSE WHAT ONE PERSON SAID!!! And there is something called FREEDOM OF SPEECH!

If it was such a bad thing then let's "punish" the channel in another way - give it a FINE and/or they have to TELL people that that was a wrong thing to do... But why shut it down??? That makes us seem like a WEAK nation...

I remmeber that minster of kurdistan regional government was ellected among "Islamic parties" . (christians- turkmen and others have one minstery and this islamic party has been given one minstery)

Imik is no problem. Anway Kurdistan is democracy, Kurdistan tv shouldnt be shut down. This sounds like Turkish television when a channel is talking positive about Kurds or tells something about Kurdish music and then get shut down.
