Lets say a word in Sorani is arabic and there isn't a sorani word for it than we just take the kurdish word of it through another kurdish dialect. Because I don't want to lose the richness/purity of the beautiful diverse kurdish language. Now lets say if a foreigner or someone would like to learn kurdish that person only needs to learn one of the major dialects. And for those who would like to educate themselves in more advancedkurdish, they can do that through university. Then they will learn and study the other dialects like Zazaki, Hewrami, Faylî, Laki..........etc through classes in university. Here in Sweden and many other countries when you come to 7th grade students can choose a third language to learn like french, german, spanish or english B now in Kurdistan we could do the same except we could include a kurdish dialect. So in case you are in origin a zazaki speaker but havn't learnt and you want to learn it, you can learn it in school :-D Fair for everyone and we will preserve the richness of the kurdish language.

Fayli is Laki and vice versa mate.

Thank you for putting your effort in correcting bro, now I will now that Fayli is equal to Laki and vice versa :-D

There is no need for sarcasm, it really isn't funny; I only thought you considered them superate because you wrote them seperately. To correct you however, Fayli is a 'clan', whilst 'Laki' is the dialect that Faylis speak.

unlike kurmanci, sorani lost some vowels
unlike sorani, kurmanci lost the "d" or "t" by verbs and other louds
loanwords should be replaced through kurdish words from other dialects,
standard language should use a unified gramma and same Personal pronouns, for example sorani dont use the origin "ez" for "I" and dont differentiate boys and girls.

some points kurds should change to bring the dialects closer to each other and off course we need a unifeid script

If I had to put it in a category then Gorani, but its in its own category of Gorani.

No heval not scared, 'sacred'. Different words, we faylis either say 'Pak' or 'Piroz', but 'Pak' is mostly used for clean in our dialect.

We also say Tirse for scare, but for he is scared we say 'zaligi echi'

Thinking Remembering Something Forgotten

PostAuthor: Anthea » Tue Nov 13, 2012 1:10 pm

I met a man :D

It might have been about 10 years ago :D

But I met a man :D

A lovely intelligent Kurdish gentleman :D

This gentleman, whose name I have forgotten, was writing ACADEMIC KURDISH

He was compiling an ACADEMIC KURDISH DICTIONARY

The dictionary was to be written in the Latin script as that is more widely used than other scripts.

It was a combination of all Kurdish languages :ymparty:

Does anyone know what became of this truly BRILLIANT gentleman :-?

Merging as a word, if used as unification of languages : that is not true and logical. because that is the tactic of countries that try to assimilate us. we cannot use such political things as people who suffered from these political things.
I think making a dialect to look like same with other and bigger dialect is dangerous as assimilation.
No I do not support this,
But if you mean loaning words for some loaned words from other dialect it can be logical up to a point.
If your algorithm is true, it should work.

I am in England and we use a lot of words from other countries - many of our top schools still teach Latin and ancient Greek - Latin especially is used a lot in medicine and law :D
