On the subject of the Khorsan Kurds...
Although they regard themselves as Kirmanji (not Kurds) and speak the Marash dialect of Kurdish... they have good relations with the fars because of their religious connections...

They don't speak the Meresh dialect - They are mainly from the Jelaî tribe of Makû, Agrî etc and the surrounding areas... This was done back in the 10-13th century... They have a strong Persian influence in their dialect - and they call themselves Kurmanc, yes - but that is because "Kurd" wasn't a "Normal" term when they were deported in the first place... If you go back to those days you will find that Kurds in all of Northern Kurdistan called themselves "Kurmanc" and the ones living in "SORAN" province/area - called themselves Soranî and the ones in the Ardalan province (mainly Kordestan province in todays Iran) called themselves Ardalanî etc... This is just one of the many divisions among Kurds - but luckily the regional-geographical division has been weakened as things have changed - now they have a bigger picture - "Turkish Kurd" and "Iranian Kurd" etc - are the new terms - and back in the days the dialect was a divisional definition - like " I speak Bahdini" - but in reality it is Kurmancî... So much to say about this but i won't bother... I am just too lazy at the moment... TIRED...

Yes brother, some Lors accept this - but there are some Lurs who don't - and it would be highly inapropriot for Kurds to do as their oppressors...

Although you are right - the Lurs... Hey let me just give you a site I found...

http://folk.uio.no/peyman/kurd.html

At the bottom you can click on "Luristan" - and this site is made by a Kurd from Kermanshah I think... Why I think so? His name is "Kermanshanî"...

Brother you know what? I saw a documentary the other day about the Bakhtiarî - And they wore Kurdish clothes, ate Kurdish food and spoke BAAAADDD Kurdish with strong Persian influence... But then again the Bakhtiarî are on the other side of the Lurs...

Anyway - At the first sumit of the UN (or whatever it was) this map was used:

Image

So the Bakhtiarî are also considered Kurds... As the map I have made here - I have "Put" the Lurs and the Bakhtiarî in the land I called "LURISTAN"...

Here is an map of the ethnicities in the area...

http://www.travel-images.com/az-iran-ethnic-map.jpg

Kurds are underestimated in all maps made by non Kurds...

Look my friend - we ain't Turks! They demanded that parts of Greece mainland be given to Turkey because 10% of the population was Turkish speaking/ethnic!

By the way - there is a MINI KURDISTAN in Berlin, Nashville and probably many more places - yeah in London too (more mixed)...
