I am thinking of relocating to the seaside :ymdevil:

Where I live is peaceful and relaxing but I need more action and I will not move into London because it has become far too violent

When they catch violent criminals in England, instead of spending tax payers money keeping them in more comfort that the average pensioner, they should be sent to some of the countries in Africa and put on a chain gang and made to dig well for the people dying due to lack of clean water :D

Mothers' Day in France today. I will cook :

Canapés de foie gras
Œufs cocottes aux asperges, morilles et parmesan
Filet de bœuf Wellington et girolles.
Salade
Fromage
Glace.

Wines are not still chosen : a white Bordeaux for the œufs cocotte, probably a red Bordeaux for the beef.

Champagne before and after the meal.

I have started to read a good novel : 'Mister Pip' written by Lloyd Jones. The fluidity and elegance of that style makes me think of Janet Frame. So for 2013, it is my second New Zealand's discovery in literature.

Thank you :ymapplause:

I have just had a look at the write-up and it looks very interesting so I will probably read it myself :D

We had grown up believing white to be the color of all the important things, like ice cream, aspirin, ribbon, the moon, the stars. White stars and a full moon were more important when my grandfather grew up than they are now that we have generators.

When our ancestors saw the first white they thought they were looking at ghosts or maybe some people who had just fallen into bad luck. Dogs sat on their tails and opened their jaws to await the spectacle. The dogs thought they were in for a treat. Maybe these white people could jump backwards or somersault over trees. Maybe they had some spare food. Dogs always hope for that.

Mister Pip, Lloyd Jones.

It is a extract of a novel, in fact.

Beautiful instruments - they look like works of art - I would love to see video of them coming to life as they are being played :D

I cannot play anything - my little fingers on both hands are very small so I do not have the reach :((

I much prefer relaxing to music than watching TV - probably explains why I do not have a TV :o)

I expect your paper is written in Sorani or French :ymsigh:

I really wish more was written about the great Kurdish poets and philosopher. Kurds have a rich culture and heritage yet most of them are oblivious to the fact. As for non-Kurds, most of them know absolutely nothing about Kurds.

It is shame that those who purport to represent Kurdish interests seldom if ever touch on the more cultural side of Kurdish history and heritage 8-|
