No hangover and my sinusitis is gone :-D But the flu is still here.

And the day is dark and rainy and windy. Have the feeling to live in Shetland Isles.

Try the whisky again then at least your flu germs will be happy :ymdevil:

The weather is so bad I keep putting my heating on :-o

Do you think the problems with the weather has anything to do with the Americans with all their experiments in climate control and use of HAARP :-\

Probably more climate change because of pollution and ozone layer which becomes thinner.

But a bad summer could happen many time during geological history
Here it is less cold but stormy and rainy. Hope to have a sunny week end.

In 3 weeks time it will be mid-summer day :ymsick:

Have you noticed how similar and soft the Kurdish accent is between Kurds in SK and Kurds in WK, compared to the harsh accent of Kurds from what should have been NK :ymdevil:

W. Kurds have different accents : Kurds from Hassake (Jazirah) speak like bohtani, people from Sinjar or Zakho (soft). Kurds from 'Efrin have a harsh accent, also. Special language, the 'Efrinî…

One of the finest kurmancî is spoken between Midyat and Cizîr : it is like a music.

The problem from many N. Kurds is that when they did not learn Kurdish at first, their speech is influenced by Turkish (and also their grammar which is make them hard to understand, sometimes).

Funny thing : when I stop to drink wine at dinner, I take weight. If I drink, I lost it.

I should not be made for virtue

You use HAM - I use wunderground (Weather Underground!) local weather stations

Link for Paris Weather:

Link for Kurdistan Weather:

(I could develop a tan just thinking about the weather in Kurdistan)

Mutton in Onion-Ale Broth

Remove the meat of lamb bones from the bones and set it aside. Place the bones in a large pot, cover with water, and simmer for 1 or 2 hours

I add an onion, some pieces of celery, and a tomato, salt, pepper, and cloves.

To the large pot of broth, add 8 pearl onions, a bottle of dark beer, saffron, 1/2 cup of wheat berries and salt.

I replace pearl onion by 4 or 5 big onions (I love onions). 50 cl of Irish draughr beer is enough. Wheat berries are pre-cooked of course.

Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and continue to cook for 15 or 30 minutes. While the broth is cooking, heat the butter in a skillet and gently brown the reserved meat. Add the meat to the broth pot and keep the stew warm until you are ready to serve.
Break slices of bread into large pieces and place them in the bottom of individual soup bowls, then paddle the hot soup over the bread. Serve immediately

I will break the bread in smaller pieces and brown them in the skillet which has been used for the lambs, in the grease.

Recommended drink : Dark beer, of course.

I' tell if my mutton is tasty like Hobb's one in A Storm of Swords.
